2. The size of your parts should be matching with the motorcycle parts. For example measure properly the seat diameter, frame size etc.

3. Before restoring, check the rust on the frame. Clean the rust properly, however some rust can be ok but more can cause pitting problem. Now coat the parts with the rustproofing spray so that you can prevent further rusting.

• First of all the very needed step while changing or repairing brake of any motorcycle is that loosening the lug nuts of the tires and then removing it.
• Remove the tires and keep them aside to work on the brake system properly.
• Now locate the bolts that connects the brake caliper to the brake hose and remove these bolts. Locate the bolts attaching the wheel assembly and remove them.
• Strip the brake caliper to be changed of its mounting components.This includes the rubber boots and the bolts and sliders of the original brake caliper. Examine these components to make sure they are not rusted, warped, torn or damaged in any way.
• Apply lubricants to mounting components.

• Compress the caliper piston.Replace the brake caliper on the end of the brake hose. Leave the connection loose.
• Place brake pads on the new brake caliper, and then lubricate the caliper bolts and reattach the caliper to the wheel assembly.
• Refill your brake fluid.Replace the tire and fasten the lug nuts onto the mounts. Head to the other side of the car and repeat the same process. Once you are done, test the brakes for yourself and then take the motorcycle for a very slow test drive.

A motorcycle battery consists of six cell each containing positive & negative plates. The cell has 2 volts each, total providing 12 volts necessary to power your motorcycle.

The lead cells are submersed in sulfuric acids to generate electricity through chemical reaction.Sparked by the starter, the battery allows the engine to start and powers your peripherals–like CBs and satellite radios.

The current is generated when electrons from the battery acid interact with the lead cells. Hydrogen particles from the acid provide the cells with protons while the sulfate ions provide negative electrons.

The residual sulfate begins to cover the battery cells and forms a barrier between the cells and the remaining acid–reducing the ability of acid to charge the cells. The charged cells pour out of the negative terminal of the battery and travel the motorcycle’s circuit, powering the motor and peripherals, and then they return through the positive terminal of the battery.

• Check Tires, Controls, Lights and Accessories, Oils and Fluids, Chassis and Chain, and Kickstand before each ride.
• Check your tire pressure. Under or over-inflated tires can translate to poor handling and stability.

RIM

Follow these simple tools and get your rims changed:

• Deflate the tire on the wheel that holds the rim you want to change. When the tires are inflated, there is no empty space between the rim and the surface of the tire.
• Use your socket set to loosen and remove any fasteners that physically attach the rim to your motorcycle wheel. Make sure you don’t lose any pieces as you work.
• Place the new rim on the wheel. Depending on the size and style of the rim, there may be overlap between the rim and the tire. If there is, you may have to adjust the tire, so that it rests over or beneath the surface of the rim.
• Fasten the new rim onto the wheel using your socket set if it requires any additional securing.

Remember that it probably won’t cost more than an hour’s labor to have your rims changed by a professional if you’re unsure whether or not you’re up to the task.
