Motorcycle Suspension and Motorcycle Shocks are the two alternate names for shock absorber. Technically some times it is also called a Damper. Its main function is to have a smooth and hassle free driving over rough road. It reduces the effect of riding over rough surface, which results in improving the riding experience.

Its seems that older motorcycles do not offer a way of suspension adjustments. Just pre-load adjustments for the rear shocks and nothing more. Now the modern motorcycle shocks makers are offering both front and rear suspension with standard compression adjustments. We can say some models as of 2006 offer both high and low speed compression adjustment.

As we are talking about high and low speed compressing adjustment means we can make tunning for adjustment. It is very difficult for the rider to determine what adjustments should be comfortable for him, as a poorly set up rear end may cause front-end problems and vice versa.

So, the only solution for Properly tuned motorcycle suspension requires assistance from an expert due to the range of possible adjustments.
