Motorcycle Shock

Motorcycle Shock

Motorcycle Suspension and Motorcycle Shocks are the two alternate names for shock absorber.  Technically some times it is also called a Damper.  Its main function is to have a smooth and hassle free driving over rough road. It reduces the effect of riding over rough surface, which results in improving the riding experience.

Its seems that older motorcycles do not offer a way of suspension adjustments. Just pre-load adjustments for the rear shocks and nothing more. Now the  modern motorcycle shocks makers are offering both front and rear suspension with standard compression adjustments. We can say some models as of 2006 offer both high and low speed compression adjustment.

As we are talking about high and low speed compressing adjustment means we can make tunning for adjustment. It is very difficult for the rider to determine what adjustments should be comfortable for him, as a poorly set up rear end may cause front-end problems and vice versa.

So, the only solution for Properly tuned motorcycle suspension requires assistance from an expert due to the range of possible adjustments.

LED stands for Light Emitting Diode.  LED Motorcycle lighting is mainly used by motorcycle rider’s to enhance their look  and appearance of the motorcycle. Now a days people are engaged in using LED light system’s for their Motorcycle  to improve the motorcycle’s visibility to other drivers.

While using LED lighting system’s for the motorcycle we need to take care of two things. First, heat management and Second more important is, it required high current. Making this assembly more expensive than a traditional system. If we look towards its usage age, it can have a relatively long useful life. High Performance Chain & Sprocket

High Performance Chain & Sprocket

When we think about  how to modify our motorcycle, we always think about its external appearance and performance. One thing that always remain’s un-touched by us– Chains, which is a major part for our motorcycle performance.

When we list out a few crucial parts that need maintenance, people definitely ignore chains. We should know that chains are like directors,  those who play very vital role behind the scenes to succeed the play.  An important task performed by the chain is to transform the power from the engine to the rear wheels. Without any proper maintenance it can fail to do this desired task and cripple the motorcycle.

Here we have some tips to maintain your motorcycle chain.

No matter which brand and which type of chain  you are using you should inspect the chains twice a month or after every 500-600 miles. You need to clean up and lubricate it regularly, obviously if you want to keep riding. Cleaning Chains as such is not a big task, it can be done using an old toothbrush and kerosene or WD-40. While cleaning chains don’t forget to clean the sprockets at the same time. Once done with the chains and sprockets, be sure that now they are dry before lubricating them.  You can find out the type of lubricant you should use for lubricating the chains by referring to your user manual.

Air Filter - Cleaner

Air Filter - Cleaner

What is an Air Filter? Its a device used in motorcycle’s to restrict solid particulates such as dust, bacteria, extra minute particles, mold and pollen from passing through. Mainly there are three types of Air filter/Air Cleaner for motorcycle. We use depending upon the motorcycle we have.

Types of Air Filter

1. Oiled Foam.
2. Fabric.
3. Paper.

Each one has its own advantages and different process to clean it up. Each type is available in different sizes and shapes. You need to check it out with your manual which will suit your motorcycle best.

Facts behind the Air Filter

Air is a major contributor in functioning of Combustion engine. While passing air to the engine if it consists of dust particles, it can cause very serious damage to the engine. Here, Air Filter’s for the Motorcycle comes into the picture and prevents such a particle from entering into the engine. Restricting such a dust and particles to pass through the engine and by providing dust free air to the engine can result in more power to the motorcycle.

Selection of Air Filter for Motorcycle

Take the time and do research for Filter/Cleaner which can suit your motorcycle better, as functioning of the engine is directly proportional to performance, delivering a dust free air to engine is a basic task of filter which improves efficiency of the engine by providing a required amount of quality air.

We sell & categorized good filter/air cleaner as a Filter which allows as much air as possible into the engine.

The American Industry is experiencing the return of many a boomer, one is Vintage. Even marques like Ducati and Triumph have stylised their entire range. And while Ducati’s SportClassic and Triumph’s Modern Classic motorcycles are the most prolific examples of the modern vintage niche – they are far from alone. Moto Guzzi has built “classic” models alongside its high-performance Twins, and Royal Enfield survives solely off vintage-inspired units. Even Honda floated a production vintage test balloon when it debuted the ‘80’s-styled CB1100F concept at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2007.The success of the modern vintage niche is hard to argue against, with Triumph’s Parallel Twin-powered Modern Classics, of which the Bonneville is the flagship, a stalwart of the Trumpet line. The expansion of Ducati’s SportClassic line with the GT1000 Touring in 2009 is a clear signal its retro seeds have reaped financial rewards for the Italian marque as well.

While thinking of buying a bike its hard not to think of Harley Davidson. Mostly every bike enthusiast has a Harley Davidson on Top of his wish list.
But Do you get what you pay for?
I was wondering if Harley’s are worth the difference in price, or do we just pay for the name?
Though buying name is not cool enough a reason, to pay such a huge amount.
More reasons clear my doubts, like

* Motorcycles come in many different styles and it is important to match the bike to your riding style and expectations.
* Harley Davidson is known more for their cruiser and custom style bikes than for sport bikes, even though the Sportster falls under the sport bike category to some degree.
* The riding style is important since this will directly effect the riding experience.
* If taking long road trips then buying a sport bike isn’t the best choice.
* Avoid making the mistake of buying a motorcycle that is beyond the riding ability.
* Buying a motorcycle that is too big or advanced will either end up as a discouraged rider or worse to an injury.
* while selecting a motorcycle look for skill, maneuver and managing ability of the rider.
* Harley manufactures good bikes and their parts are also easy available.
* A “true” cruiser created by America with a history behind it.
* A good point for American Patriots and all the profits to stay in America too.

Though you pay a bit more its joy and pride is every bit worth Harley Davidson bike.

Harley-Davidson to sell motorcycles in India in 2010, Lets hope economic growth will help the sales to speed up.

Harley-Davidson Inc. says it will begin selling its motorcycles next year in India in the company’s latest push into developing markets overseas.

Harley says it has established a subsidiary near Delhi and has begun scouting for dealers. The Milwaukee-based company is hoping its high-end, heavyweight bikes will compete with the well-established, smaller two-wheelers that dominate the huge Indian bike market.

The company says India’s rapidly growing economy, rising middle class and expanded highway construction have opened the market to leisure motorcycle enthusiasts.

The move marks Harley’s latest push into developing markets overseas, where it hopes rising incomes and the company’s strong brand will help offset flagging sales at home.
