The largest single application of lead acid batteries is for the starting, lighting, and ignition of motorcycle, trucks and buses. A lead acid battery has been widely applied as an inexpensive reliable high safety secondary battery for starting, lighting, ignition and other purposes.
Power House Lead Acid Battery are the same batteries that are made for Harley-Davidson®. POWER HOUSE Standard line features patented separators that allow two extra plates per cell for 30% more power. POWER HOUSE Hi-Torque Low Maintenance line features 5% to 8% more cold cranking power than our standard high output series and less maintenance is required because of advanced lead calcium technology instead of conventional lead antimony, so water loss due to gassing is reduced by 90%.

Motorcycle batteries, especially during winters in cold areas, tend to receive little attention for long periods of time. If these batteries “die” and sit for a long time in this condition, they become permanently ruined. If this occurs, they must be replaced by a new battery.

motorcycle
- Open the motorcycle’s seat and set it in a clean place.
- Remove the plastic battery cover (located just in front of the gas tank) by sliding it out.
- If a battery is currently located in the slot, remove it by unscrewing its two connection posts with a phillips screwdriver. Then, unlatch the rubber holding strap on top of the battery, and slide the battery out. Make sure to dispose of it legally.

motorcycle-battery
- Reattach the rubber holding strap on top of the battery. Shake the battery slightly to make sure that it fits snugly and securely.
- Re-attach both of the connection posts by screwing them back in. Be sure to match the positive and negative connections with their corresponding posts. Positive will be colored red, and negative will be colored black.
- Slide the plastic cover back over the battery and reattach the motorcycle’s seat.

Maintaining the charge for your motorcycle battery is important to extending the life of the battery as well as saving you money on a replacement.

battery-recharger
Motorcycle batteries require low-current charging because of their small size. Therefore, it is important to select the correct charger to match your motorcycle battery. Using a regular battery charger can be dangerous and will likely ruin your motorcycle battery
Refer to the owner’s manual to assist with getting access to your battery. The location of the battery and how it is accessed varies by make and model.
Remove the caps over the chambers and fill with distilled water. The caps will remain off during the charging process.
Plug the charger into the electrical socket prior to connecting the cables to the battery. Once plugged in, connect the positive clip of the battery charger to the positive terminal on the battery. Next, connect the negative clip of the battery charger to the negative terminal on the battery.
Turn on the charger and select the charge rate you desire (either 2, 4 or 6 amp). Depending on the power level of the battery, it may be necessary to charge the battery for up to 24 hours.

Motorcycle battery
When the battery is fully charged, turn the charger off and disconnect the positive and negative clips from the battery terminals. Replace the chamber caps and replace the battery on the motorcycle. Reconnect the battery cables on the motorcycle to close the power supply and then start your motorcycle to test the effectiveness of the charge.

light weight racing battery
Have you ever wondered how your motorcycle battery works? Motorcycle batteries are relatively expensive and small as compared to car batteries. To maintain your battery well, lets get to know how does it actually works!
A motorcycle battery consists of six cell each containing positive & negative plates. The cell has 2 volts each, total providing 12 volts necessary to power your motorcycle.
The lead cells are submersed in sulfuric acids to generate electricity through chemical reaction.Sparked by the starter, the battery allows the engine to start and powers your peripherals–like CBs and satellite radios.

braille-light-weight-battery
The current is generated when electrons from the battery acid interact with the lead cells. Hydrogen particles from the acid provide the cells with protons while the sulfate ions provide negative electrons.
The residual sulfate begins to cover the battery cells and forms a barrier between the cells and the remaining acid–reducing the ability of acid to charge the cells. The charged cells pour out of the negative terminal of the battery and travel the motorcycle’s circuit, powering the motor and peripherals, and then they return through the positive terminal of the battery.
There are different types of batteries depending upon the motorcycle you riding. You may be riding a traditional motorcycle or a street motorcycle or your classic vintage motorcycle. If you are vintage motorcycle enthusiast and love to go for racing, then here is the braille light weight racing battery, best suitable for your motorcycle.
