Harley - Flathead Engine

A flathead engine manufactured between 1929 and 1974. Flathead engine also called Sidevalve engine or Flatty. Flathead did not have overhead valves, it is an internal combustion engine with valves placed in the engine block beside the piston. The design was common on early engine designs. The advantage of a flathead was simplicity in their design, had no push rods or rocker arms. A typical flathead engine produced about 22 horsepower and had a displacement of 45 cubic inches.

  1. I am desperate to fix a very old csetaste tape and am willing to be patient and learn. I have looked at some videos and written instructions with pictures. My question is: How do you secure the tape to the empty end of the reel so it won’t pop off again when it gets to the end of the tape?? Thank you.
